Hotel le Domaine aux Quat'Saisons |
Languedoc is hot in summer Languedoc Roussillon's temperatures vary more widely than the UK's - with far higher maximums, especially in summer, but minimums that are, in January and February, just as cold. Summer in the Languedoc reaches the mid-30's in July. May, June and September offer the best weather. The water is warm enough to swim in from May to September. Languedoc is very sunny and dryLanguedoc Roussillon is much sunnier than the UK - average hours of sunshine are more than 10 per day for the months of June, July and August. Rainfall is also lower in Languedoc Roussillon - especially in summer - where the sun beats down for weeks on end without a drop of rain. Rain falls seasonally Autumn, October and November, can have sudden, torrential rain storms that swell the rivers and often cause flooding. Thankfully, the sunshine usually returns after 2-3 days even after the heaviest downpours. |
